HOW CAN YOU PREVENT PLASTIC POLLUTION?

Climate change is an incredibly important topic right now; not just for ourselves, but for future generations to come. Eliminating single-use plastics is key to protecting the ocean and marine life. In many small ways, you can also make a difference.

June 19th is National Refill Day; ‘a public awareness campaign that helps prevent millions of single-use plastic bottles from polluting our streets and our oceans. We encourage people to carry a reusable water bottle and refill on the go.’

Luckily, Fierce Grace Brixton is already set up to provide members with FREE fresh hydration, without using plastic.

Free Filtered Water for our Members

Did you know that we provide filtered water in our changing rooms and fruit infused water in the members area? Our filtered water in both male and female changing rooms can be found in the curved taps by the sinks. We’ve used active charcoal carbon filters, which are the most effective at removing chlorine, particles such as sediment, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), taste and odour from water.

Fruit-infused Water and Tea

You’ll also find fruit-infused water in the members area, alongside fresh yogi tea to perk you up of chill you out, pre or post class. We know that keeping hydrated is essential for hot yoga practice, so we make sure members have access to hydration for free!

Hard Facts

Every time someone refills a bottle rather than throwing a plastic one away, we are reducing the amount of plastic that reaches the ocean.

If just 1 in 10 Brits refilled just once a week, we’d save around 340 million plastic bottles a year!

Whether you like your water pure and simple or infused with lemon and lime, bringing your own re-usable water bottle to Fierce Grace Brixton will eliminate the need to use plastic. Drip by drip, we’ll stay hydrated, save money and most importantly, save marine life in the ocean.
